Hydrogels are three-dimensional, hydrophilic, polymeric networks capable of absorbing large amounts of water or biological fluids. Mostly, the hydrogel consist of amphiphilic nature which made it possible to tuning the matrix or inner structure of a hydrogel improving the stimulus responsiveness, which in turn affects physical properties and water uptake capacity. In our research study, we applied the mechanics of functionalized carbon dots (CD)-loaded hydrogel for 3 different applications, such as actuator, shape-memory, and self-healing.
